How high can the 5th string on the long neck banjo be tuned? I haven't tried taking it above G so far... I got the long neck just for playing whatever I want to play as I felt it was more versatile and on not a lot but a few banjo songs G is too high for me. But recently I've fell in with a local jam group and of course everything's in A or D. Normally this wouldn't be a problem, I'd just play with them on the regular banjo, but the longneck's the only one I took to college with me. The fifth string on the long neck is just like a regular fifth string, but since it spends so much time tuned in E, do you think it'd be safe to take it up to A?
