Hello friends, I have loved the banjo most all of my life. When I was about 22 my wife gave me a cheep banjo for Christmas and I took lessons but didnt get it. I think my problem was two fold, 1) the banjo was cheep and 2) I was trying to learn bluegrass picking style. After many years I have learned there are other ways to play a banjo and I am going to set my sights on playing claw-hammer style. I would love to hear any advice and would really like to hear what banjo's under $500.00 would you suggest I get to learn on. I have been looking at the Deering good time, and gold tone cc-100. When I see used ones I dont know about them to chose one (Morgan Monroe, Fender, Kay, Washburn ect...). I will look forward to seeing what the experts here have to say. Thanks
