I was just looking through the song of the week forum and there are quite a few mentioning squirrels. I cannot think of one English song or tune mentioning a squirrel and yet we are a little obsessed with the grey/red squirrel thing in England .... ie .. many grey squirrels and the red squirrel becoming extinct ,.. although, I have a squirrel that visits my garden that is obviously half & half & I would suggest that he is not alone .. (a sign of the times me thinks and a total breakdown of English squirrel society. Eeeek )
The only obvious squirrel I can think of in English society if "Tufty" the squirrel who starred in a TV advertising campaign for road safety .... oooopps.. so many squirrels squashed on our roads ... maybe not a good choice ?
Anyway ... any good Englsih old time clawhammer squirrel tunes ?
