Lately I've been tuning to 432hz in stead of 440hz, its the old Verdi standard. There are all sorts of compelling metaphysical and mathematical arguments out there for it, from the square root of the speed of light and optimal harmonic resonance etc... even the number dimples on a golf ball. But to me it seems to fit the era in which the instrument evolved. It might be argued to be the more authentic pitch for minstrel and stroke styles. I must say it sounds good, I've been have a lot of fun it
