I'm having a hard time trying to strike the interior strings without hitting the strings surrounding it. I'm sure every clawhammer newbie has this problem at first! I've read this this thread already (http://www.banjohangout.org/archive/220039) and also tried my 2nd finger, which ended up sounding the same as my 1st finger. Any advice? I'll obviously just keep practicing striking the interior strings. I also have short nails, should grow them out?
I want to be able to hit the interior strings cleanly enough to do this guide (http://www.bluesageband.com/Tab%20pdf%20files/Instruction/Single%20Note%20Brushes.pdf) with ease.
