I'm still obviously new to all this and of late am working on my drop thumb on old time and fiddle tunes. Eventually when I'm a much better player I'll want to play a whole range of styles as well as the ones I'm already practising.
My question is when you get to a certain standard of playing and if you start to play different genres such as blues, classical, jazz, rock music or any other style for that matter does your personal style evolve? Do you start using other methods such as up picking or will clawhammer get you through it all?
For that matter what are the limits to banjo/clawhammer if any?
