Would someone please explain the relationship between different bridges, heads and tone. I've read "so and so changed the head and bridge to get just the tone he was looking for". Well, was it a hit or miss experiment, or are there some general guidelines that will result in a particular type of tone (warm or bright, snappy or tubby, etc)? Is there a way that I can select a combinations of parts so that I don't have to buy four different heads, and 8 or so different bridges and play with all the combinations? (It's a great, but expensive way to learn!)
