Occasionally I encounter a tab with a notation similar to this:
1-0
2- 11
3
4
5- 0
Rather crude, but I trust that you get the picture. Play the open 1st string, play the 2nd string, 1st fret twice and then the 5th string.
My question is this: Assuming that these are 8th notes, how do we get smoothly from the 1st string to the 2nd, play two notes on the 2nd string and then cleanly get the 5th? When I try a combination such as this it does not resemble music. Your help will be appreciated.
