Hi folks. I've been looking to build a strong repertoire of minor-key, dark, savage, passionate, cathartic clawhammer banjo songs to learn from. I'm thinking of the likes of Meadowlands by Ray Andrews, Jerusalem Ridge by Bill Monroe, that kind of stuff.
I'm wanting to develop the clawhammer techniques and knowledge to express high-energy, liberated passion. And most of what I've been coming across, like on Mike Iverson's page and most banjo instructionals, are too tame for my liking. Any suggestions?
