Now that I’m getting to the point of figuring out tunes by listening and working them out—I’m finding I have trouble bringing them to mind. The tunes I learned by tab, my mind pictures enough of the tab to remind myself of the melody. Once I remember the tune, I usually don’t have a problem playing it but when my mind goes blank, picturing the tab in my mind can get me started. Anyone else hitting blank walls when trying to get a tune started? Any suggestions to help recall?
