Hi,
I come from a guitar playing background utilizing a special fingerpicking style. After some frustration trying to speed up my clawhammer and drop thumb picking on my 5 string banjo, I have decided to stick with my unconventional fingerpicking style. I must say, that it sounds very natural for "old time" and "more modern" music played on the banjo. I decided to prepare a banjo lesson to help others in a similar situation. This method suits "Open D Tuning (sometimes called "graveyard" tuning) very well, or you can use standard Open G and others. You can download my free fingerpicking lesson here:

Please, I would sincerely wellcome your feedback comments!
Thanks,
