Complete beginner here trying to understand the direction to take with learning and a goal to try and reach.
If I listen to I'll Fly Away on the O Brother Where Art Thou soundtrack I can clearly hear the melody. However if I listen to it by Banjo Ben Clark I can't. I prefer the former version. What style is it played in on the soundtrack? I'm guessing it is some kind of OT. Could it be played that way with fingerpicks (I don't have fingernails that are usable)?
