Just got a new banjo (Nechville Moonshine) which seems plenty loud on it's own. But when playing with fiddlers I can barely hear myself (especially anything lower than "A" on the third string.) I understand that physics are working against me, with most of my sound going away from my ears. Plus I am not one of those players that is to shy to play loudly.
Any suggestions? there must be some solution, because it makes jamming very frustrating.
Do I need to rig up some sort of piezo headphone contraption to get "more banjo in the monitors"?
