I am new here to. I've never been on a forum or website so if I mess up I apologize. It's so nice to be around people who love the banjo. If i had 100 of them, that still wouldn't be enough. I have grown up around banjos all my life. I grew up 60 miles from the nearest town on a farm. I come from old fashioned preachers, coal miners and farmers. My best memories are sitting on that long porch (just like "The Darlings" off of Andy Griffith) and listening to my uncles play banjos they would make out of old lard cans, broom handles and fox skins. I can't play yet but I'm learning. I can play the ukulele and banjoleui. Not the best but self taught says I have potential ? Is it weird to have your heart beat fast when you play and you get excited when you have it in your hands ? lol ? Like living in the fast lane for a little bit. Lol . I'm in love with my banjo.
