Essential Fiddle-tune Repertoire

Hey gang, I've got a question for the room.

I usually play with a quartet, but we were offered a duo gig at a cool restaurant. We talked it over and the fiddler and I are going to give it a whirl next month. If it goes well we'll probably make it a monthly thing with people taking turns accompanying one another.

Thing is, we've only got about an hour's worth of material (some of it wouldn't work as well as a duo), while the gig would be three sets. We've got time to work up the repertoire between now and mid-June, but faced with thousands of fiddle-tunes and variations to choose from, I thought to ask the hangout for some guidance on where to start.

A further wrinkle: while she pulls out a violin when A-E sawing is called for, her favored fiddle is the viola. Do we know of any tunes that might especially fit there? We do have some fun sometimes where she takes the low part while I go up the neck for a change-up. :)
