Clawhammer Banjo - Beyond the basics

As the banjo player for The Boiled Buzzards Old Time String Band, Dan’s playing was described as “melodic, meticulous and uncluttered.” So, let’s get you onto that page!  I’d say we are looking at intermediate level here but beginners should be able to gain in their skills and advanced players will find a pearl or two as well. Taking a couple of familiar old time tunes as well as one or two that should be new to you, we’ll explore the clawhammer banjo style the way it has been played for years. We’ll review the basics then dive into the tunes.
