5th String Capo Options for Banjos with High Pip

For those of you with banjos like Reiters where the high pip makes spikes less than ideal, what do you use for 5th string capoing methods? I don't want to just lower the pip, 'cause 1. I don't have the tools, and 2. I'm finding I like the 5th string where it is.

So I'm looking for alternatives. It sounds like the Reagan might just flop around due to the string height, but I'd be interested in hearing from people who actually use them.

I'm mostly just planning for contingencies: the vast majority of the time, I play alone with no capo, or play tunes where either G or A works fine. I'll be OK just tuning the 5th up to A, but if in the future I want to sing or play with other people who do, I'd like to know how to make it work.

Alternatively (and this is why I put this in the playing forum, though it can certainly be moved if the moderators feel it doesn't belong), what other techniques do you use to work around not having a fifth string capo for times tuning up to A doesn't cut it?
