I play clawhammer OT and have plenty of exposure to it. I also dance Cajun and Zydeco and enjoy the music. Does anyone use clawhammer for these types of music of southern Louisiana? Here in western NC, it is pretty much clawhammer for OT and Scrugg's style for bluegrass. Any youtube videos I could check out? What keys are common..I assume the key is set by the button accordians when they are in the band? I know Dirk Powell plays both these styles, but I haven't seen nor heard him use his banjo for the Cajun music.
