I have been playing banjo on and off for many years now but have just started to spend more time with it in the last year. I am paying very close attention to what I like and listening to a lot of banjo as I am sure all students do. On YouTube I found an artist, Bailey Cooke, who has a few recordings, Down in the Willow Garden, Waterbound, and Snowdrop being my favorites. Here is a link to Down in the Willow Garden:

I really like her sound and want to emulate her style. It is a little muted and very percussive. I am not having much luck at figuring it out myself though. Does anyone have any ideas for me on this video or tips on how to analyze music being played?
Thanks
