Never done before, but it worked good for the song I AM, by David Crowder.
Personally I like to double C tuning for open backs.
But then the singer of our group proposed to sing the song I AM in G.
Tried on regular length G tuning banjo.
It did not sound right to me.
What about the long neck, tuned down two steps dGDGA
Very nice.
