Not sure where to post this question. I have a tackhead banjo which I really like. The banjo isn't well balanced in that the neck is heavier than the rim (since the rim is void of any hardware). The rim is also smooth which causes the banjo to "slip" or rotate the neck towards the floor. I can minimize this by pinching the rim with between the right arm and my chest. This works pretty well, but the rim also wants to slide off my right leg.
I'm sure other tackhead players have experienced this issue, and I'm sure some have created novel solutions.
