I recently learned this song from one of Dwight's books (Yew Pine Mountain). It mentions in there that it is possibly one of his favorites. After playing it through about 40 times now, I have to agree. What an interesting song with a very catchy melody.
He mentions in the book that he has been fooling around with this tune for nearly 40 years and still is not able to get what is in the tune and said "probably the only way to get it is to give up on it".
I'm very curious to get some opinions by what he possibly meant by that statement?
By the way, I am really having a good time with this book and never knew much about DD until diving in. He is probably one of my favorites right now.
