Tuning to Play in a Minor Key?

I'm trying to work out a clawhammer version of a tune that's in a minor key.

My first thought was to drop the second string to a Bb from G tuning, but the fingering for the melody doesn't feel "right."

What other tunings should I try?

It doesn't really matter what specific key I play it in as it will be a solo piece.
