I recently stuck my neck out again in an effort to find some clawhammer banjo lessons that fit my personal skill level and learning curve. I've downloaded tabs etc, bought books, CDs, and videos. Finally I have stumbled on to the solution that fits my needs. Lukas Pool offers downloadable annual lessons that (1) play the tune slowly (2) break the tunes into the call and responses (3) play each call and response very slowly (4) show each note, string by string, and fret by fret (5) combine and plays each call and response and each A and B parts (6) repeats this process for a more advance version of the tune (7) and if that's not enough, provides a tab for each tune.
