I just heard this tune played by Clifton Hicks. I'm embarassed to sy I never heard ( or heard of ) Clifton Hicks, but have a listen if you please. Anyone have an idea on how his banjo might be tuned? I love the sound he gets out of it. Is Clifton one of the North Carolina Hicks family? His playing sounds somewhat like some of Frank Profitt's playing, and the Proffit and Hicks families intermingled to a great extent, I've heard.
