I hope this is in the right place, but Im continually drawn to clawhammer styleee. I've got a Deering Special resonator which is fine and dandy but keep thinking about open backs. Yeah, I know resonators are fine for doing clawhammer/ old time but as I'm drawn to clawhammer I'm seriously thinking of changing to an open back.
Just take the resonator off I hear ya say, but I fancy a change.
If I do change to an open back can bluegrass still be played on it ?
The ideal would be to get an open back aswell as my resonator but cash flow won't allow that.
I fancy chopping my Deering for an open back, what ya think ?
