This video has been posted before. I've listened to and watched it a LOT. I've also hunted around for other versions of WITP. This is by far, my favorite one, for one thing, because it's so dang GOOD, and also because it looks so simple.
Alas, simple-looking is not the same thing as easy-to-do. Man, am I learning that lesson! I've been playing for almost three months. Getting this tune down would be a BIG jump for me. It looks doable.
I've figured out that he is not in standard tuning (not A 440). He's about a half-step higher and capoed at the second fret. I can handle all that. I recorded the tune and changed the pitch with software to something I can match. I easily see what he's doing with his left hand--which isn't much.
1. Is he in regular G tuning (with the pitch correction)?
2. Could someone tab out that simple little lick he does with his right hand? I see the double thumb. I think I can do that. But, before then, there is a little is something I'm missing, a skipped beat...I don't know.
I see that he is a BHO member. I wrote directly to him asking advice, but no answer.
Thanks in advance. This place is the greatest.
