Tuning ones banjo to open F (fCFAC) opens up the wonderful possibility of being able to play in F, G when capo-ed at the 2nd fret & A when capo-ed at the 4th fret. The strings, however, are a bit loose. Is there a solution to this? Should one tune new string changes to open F to begin with instead of open G?
