A number of years ago, I was shown an old banjo tuning for the tune Red Rocking Chair by Scott Ainsle, the blues musician. Scott plays old time music too and evidently learned the tuning from the Hammonds family up in West Virginia. The tuning is eEABD. I've experimented with some other tunes in this modal tuning, but was wondering if any BHO members knew of some other tunes in this tuning.
I've written one tune in this tuning & experimented with a transposed version of Dirk Powell's 'Waterbound' in this tuning. But, was looking for some other traditional tunes that are played in this tuning. Thanks for any help.
