Hello all,
I'm completely uneducated when it comes to banjo music, but believe through listening on YouTube that I've decided I like what, in my ignorance, seem to come under the old-time heading.
Would people be good enough to explain the various styles and artists and provide links to videos that show both the music and playing style.
As far as I can make out there's frailing and clawhammer (the distinction between which seems to cause debate!) which can be either more rhythmic or melodic. Is there a technique difference there?
I feel like I'm missing out another style. Is that the case?
Thanks all! Hopefully you can clear things up a bit for me.
