Is the action on a nylon strung banjo usually different from that of a steel strung banjo? I'd swear that when I put nylgut minstrels on my old Lyon & Healy banjo that the action's higher. I know there's no bow in the neck, but do the minstrels exert more tension on the neck than light steel strings?
