This late in life, I've set myself the task of learning 3-finger OT playing. I took 6 or 8 months of Scruggs style bluegrass, some years ago, but does OT 3-finger use the "rolls" that Scruggs playing is so involved with, or is it more of a freestyle type of playing? Anyone have suggestions for good books/DVDs on the subject?
