Hi Forum!
I've had my Chuck Lee banjo for about 6 years now, and I absolutely love the sound of it...but I'm just now realizing there's a few things I can do to improve the playability. Mainly, I want to lower the action..I've played a bunch of Ome banjos and Bart Reiter banjos with very low and comfortable action. Since the nuts are both very high (at the headstock and the 5th string nut), I'll have to take this to a luthier to be done. I'll also probably need a shorter bridge. Anything I'm overlooking, or will it be this simple?
Also, the banjo has a set of Faux-Friction tuners on it. They look beautiful, but there's too much give in them and I want to replace them. Any advice on what kind of tuners to get to replace these with?
Thank you for your help!!
