Hey everyone, Im new to banjo playing and this forum, and would just like to say what a great and informative site! Iv'e started playing about a month ago and my question is what is your thoughts on using the finger picks or not. My problem is when practicing i seem to do much better without them, can pick up things easier and faster rthyem. However when I put them on i seem to get stuck on the strings and fumble around until i get completly fustrated. I never liked using the picks with my guitar either. May be a stupid question but is it better for a begginer in the long run to just grin and bear it with the picks, or pratice without using them. Trying not to get bad habits from the start I guess, have no teacher ,just learning from books. Thank you
